This 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga is a perfect desert escape through the heart of southern Morocco. Depart from Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou before continuing to Ouarzazate. The day ends in the stunning Dades Valley, where you spend the night in a local hotel.
After breakfast, continue to the impressive Todra Gorges. Pass through Erfoud toward the desert village of Merzouga. Enjoy a camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and spend your first night in a traditional desert camp under the stars.
Explore the Merzouga region with visits to Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa music, and meet local nomads in the desert. Discover hidden oases and enjoy the peaceful Sahara atmosphere. Overnight in a comfortable desert lodge near the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Leave the desert and drive through Alnif and the lush Draa Valley, famous for its palm groves. Return via Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, ending the tour in the evening.
